luxury body lotion
Those who live in humid climates may find this to be enough, but if you’re in an arid climate like me, whipping up this luxurious body lotion is fantastic for dry skin.
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons grated beeswax
- 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup of sterilized water (boiled and cooled is how I make mine)
Instructions:
- Put the olive oil in a double boiler over low-medium heat and add the grated beeswax.
- When the beeswax has melted into the olive oil, remove from heat.
- Put the water in a mixer and turn it on at medium speed.
- Then slowly add the olive oil and beeswax mixture.
- At first, the mixture will seem like a big mess, but by adding the oil a little at a time, the mixture emulsifies and turns into a rich cream.
- Add a few drops of essential oil if you like the scent of the lotion and store it in a sterilized glass jar.
