#1: Machine Washable Pillows
Ingredients:
- mild laundry detergent
- Stain remover (optional)
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
Instructions:
- Check the care label on your pillows to make sure they are machine washable.
- Remove pillowcases and pillow protectors, if any.
- Put two pillows in the washer to balance the load.
- Add a mild laundry detergent and, if necessary, a stain remover to the washer.
- Set the machine to a gentle or delicate cycle with warm water.
- During the rinse cycle, add a cup of white vinegar to help remove any residue and freshen your pillows.
- After the cycle is complete, run an additional rinse cycle without detergent.
- To remove any remaining odors, sprinkle baking soda over your pillows and let them sit for a few hours.
- Dry pillows completely in a tumble dryer on low heat or air dry.
- Fluff pillows periodically during the drying process to prevent them from clumping.
